By the end of 2018, there were 140 companies at the Technoparc de Montr\u00e9al and they employed 7,350 people. A new record set on the site since these results were never achieved during the 31 years of Technoparc Montr\u00e9al. Below, we have grouped the breakdown by sector for the number of companies and the number of jobs. One thing to point out, the percentage of jobs in the aerospace sector lowered to 31.9% in 2018 from 39% in 2017. This is due in part to layoffs that took place in one of the largest employers of the Technoparc. This also partly explains the rise in the percentage of life sciences and information & communications technologies.
