The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>life sciences\u00a0<\/span>and health technologies (LSHT) sector<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>response to\u00a0<\/span>COVID-19<\/span>\u00a0has been extraordinary<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Early into thepandemic, <\/span>we<\/span>\u00a0witnessed<\/span>\u00a0organizations<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>around the world<\/span>\u2014some direct competitors\u2014teaming\u00a0<\/span>up to accelerate research into vaccines and treatments<\/span>. Scientists, software, and services fast-tracking drug discovery<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>MFI\u00a0<\/span>team\u00a0<\/span>began working on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>an initial\u00a0<\/span>pandemic-response project in January 2020,\u00a0<\/span>before the alert was even sounded in Canada.\u00a0<\/span>Since that time,\u00a0<\/span>MFI\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0work has\u00a0<\/span>expanded into other\u00a0<\/span>COVID-19-focused\u00a0<\/span>projects<\/span>, with\u00a0<\/span>members of the team\u00a0<\/span>often donating<\/span>\u00a0their time<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>driven<\/span>\u00a0by a\u00a0<\/span>sense of duty to share their expertise and contribute in any way they\u00a0<\/span>can<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Their work to advance COVID-19 research and projects continues to this day.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.10.8″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]\n

Molecular Forecaster opened its first office in 2018 as a resident company of the\u00a0<\/span>adMare\u00a0BioInnovations\u00a0Center<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>a national life sciences and health technology innovation hub and incubator\u00a0located in the Technoparc\u00a0Montr\u00e9al.\u00a0<\/span>Today, MFI is part of adMare\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Accelerate Qu\u00e9bec Program<\/span><\/a>\u00a0which\u00a0<\/span>aims to develop the\u00a0Province’s\u00a0most promising life sciences start-ups\u00a0and is\u00a0delivered<\/span>\u00a0with the support of t<\/span>he Government of\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec\u00a0and the City of\u00a0Montrea<\/span>l.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
